Bullet with Horse Hooves

This is Rainy in her what I call 'awkward' stage. She's in-between her shedding coats. She turns all black in winter and then sheds to her silver, blue roan color for spring and summer. Well this silver you see on her now will shed also, it's actually still furry like her winter coat. She basically sheds two coats... very annoying.

Her chest and neck always shed out first two, it amuses me. Anyway this is mainly what I call her awkward stage because she has random patches of color. She's pretty well shed her black coat here, you see some darker bits of it on her belly and haunches. The red colors in there are parts of her black coat the sun bleached, since I can't hose her off in winter and she's in an outside stall the sweat on her bleaches her hairs. So it's like I get a black horse, a red roan and blue roan all for the price of one. Suhweet.

Here's to hoping she's more silver this summer!
